Grand Rapids Downtown Market Wedding

When I first met Joelle, she was working at Wedding Day Magazine and coordinating the cover shoot that I shot in Benton Harbor this April (check it out here!). Once I found out she too was a photographer and getting married this year in Grand Rapids, she decided to book me and I couldn’t have been more honored. Joelle, and her now husband Lyndon, work together documenting love stories around the world (check their work out here) and to be asked by other photographers to photograph their wedding is such an amazing feeling. We met up in August to shoot their engagement photos in Grand Rapids and I instantly fell in love with them. Joelle’s smile and charisma is so contagious and beautiful, that I felt like we have known each other forever. If you missed their engagement photos, check them out and see for yourself!

I have been dying to shoot at the Downtown Market in Grand Rapids for forever, so when I found out their wedding was here I jumped up and down. The Downtown Market is absolutely amazing with little shops below the wedding venue (featuring the best cupcakes I have ever had) and a greenhouse inspired wedding venue upstairs. The natural light, greenery, and of course this gorgeous couple, made this wedding instantly one of my favorites.

But what made me love this wedding even more than the venue, was Joelle and Lyndon’s love. From the heartfelt, intimate vows on the bridge at the park, to the smiles and laughter in between, Joelle and Lyndon are the perfect match. I believe that their love is strong enough to weather life’s ups and downs, and their unwavering faith will support them no matter their journey. So thank you for sharing your truly incredible day with me Joelle and Lyndon, and choosing me to be the one to document it. You guys are so, so very sweet and I can’t wait to watch your journey through life together.
