I have been in love with Northern Michigan my entire life. My core childhood memory is my annual family vacation during the week of the 4th of July. We gather for a week long vacation spent splashing in the lake, eating ice cream, playing flashlight tag, miniature golf, and ferry ride over to Mackinac Island. I am not lucky enough to continue this tradition with my own children over 30 years later.

Hopping in the car and packing up our bikes, bathing suits, and a picnic basket, is my favorite summer activity. From hiking the sand dunes, to skipping rocks in the clear water, miniature golf, and Mackinac Island fudge, Northern Michigan simply cannot be beat.
