A Lakeside Engagement Session

Natalie and Michael’s lakeside engagement session was truly a dream! I have known Natalie for a few years through a mutual friend, and shot her sisters wedding (almost 4 years ago!). It was one of the very first years that I was shooting weddings full time and I cannot believe how much my style has changed since then! Booking a wedding from the same family who were previous clients along with personal referrals are the most unbelievable forms of flattery in this business and Natalie did just that. After I saw that she was engaged, I was hoping that she would inquire with me and when she did, I was thrilled!

The first time I met Michael, we were sitting in the airport getting ready to go to the same wedding in Mexico that Natalie was also a bridesmaid in, and I introduced myself by saying “Hi! I am taking your pictures on Sunday!” The rest of the 5 days we spent in Mexico laughing together, hanging out, and celebrating the wedding of our very dear friends (and lots of tequila shots for the boys!). It made our session when we got home a piece of cake. Maybe every wedding couple should go on a vacation with me before their session so we can totally just relax and get to know each other?  Thank you Natalie and Michael for an amazing lakeside engagement session, and I am so thrilled to be your wedding photographer!
