A Northern Michigan Wedding at the Watervale Inn
If you have been following my work and my business, you know that there is no place I love more than Northern Michigan. It gives me all the feels. Northern Michigan reminds me of my childhood summers: feeling carefree, ice cream on a warm summers night, splashing around all day on a beach, and a feeling of true happiness. I guess you could say that it is very nostalgic, and that is the very reason why I loved this Watervale Inn wedding. This venue represents all that a true Northern Michigan summer means to me, and so many of you! Not only was the Watervale Inn a dream to shoot, but so were Whitney and David. I had not met them before their wedding day, but once we started shooting and talking, I felt like I was a part of their family. They were so warm and welcoming, and so, so very sweet, that I was sad to see the night end. Whitney’s parents told me that family is a huge part of her life, and it was truly evident watching her immediate family all day. From watching Whitney’s grandfather perform the ceremony, to her brother performing an Elvis song at the end of the night, Whitney and David’s wedding was full of emotion, love, and many tears. I am so, so very thankful to have met these two wonderful souls who couldn’t be more perfect for each other. Thank you Whitney and David for sharing your slice of Northern Michigan magic with me. Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Swain!
