2017 was one for the books. 2017 saw me shoot 25 weddings (which is pretty amazing for having 2 other full time jobs as well!), travel to two countries, travel to multiple states, grow as a photographer and mom, shoot the cover of a magazine (say what?!) make new friends, find myself, watch lots of best friends marry each other, and smile a whole lot. I am not sure how I can top 2017, but I know I can sure try.
This is the time of year when everyone reflects on the triumphs and tribulations that occurred over the past year, and share their shiny moments. I can’t think of a better way to start 2018 than by truly reflecting on all of the wonderful couples (and their families) that I was able to work with this year. I am definitely sharing my shiny moments with a few images from each of the weddings I shot and I am sharing them as a way to say thank you.
Thank you to the couples who chose me (for whatever reason-but probably my amazing sense of humor haha!) to capture their wedding day. To travel near and far to be with them on the day they start their new lives with a blank page together. To help them pin on boutonnieres, fasten in veils, glue on eye lashes, hold grandma’s hand to walk up for pictures, and dance the night away with them. I believe that my job is so much more than taking pictures, it is doing all of those things that help make a day run more smoothly, giving bride’s confidence, reassuring a nervous groom before a first look, and making the day more memorable. I hope that all of my 2017 couples will say I did those things and can continue to find ways to make my 2018 couples feel just as special.
Thank you for giving ME the confidence in myself to chase my dream and grow my little business.
From the bottom of of my heart, thank you.
