I have a thing for old farmhouses. Maybe it is because we own a quaint little farmhouse up on a hill. Maybe it’s because I am an old soul. But when Erika and Peter booked me for their farmhouse wedding at the ever charming Fieldguide Farmhouse, I was thrilled. Tucked away on a hill, overlooking a beautiful Northern Michigan Lake, Fieldguide Farmhouse was everything I knew it would be. A wonderful host (Lee you’re amazing!), amazing decor, gorgeous views, and prettiest wedding tent you ever did see. Peter and Erika’s Northern Michigan wedding vision came to life also thanks to the dream team of Fox + Fern Events.
Erika had the most thoughtful details throughout her day but one of my favorites was her custom made wedding clogs stamped with their names and date. As our day got started with the details a bridesmaid noted “Oh my gosh she is shooting old school film!” Erika immediately replied-“Yeah that is why I booked her!” I know film might not be for everyone or my look doesn’t appeal to all, but to feel truly valued by Erika and Peter throughout the day was the icing on the cake. I couldn’t be luckier to be a part of this time in their lives and share in their wedding day.
