A Country Chic Barn Wedding

I have known Catherine for 10 years (I think!) and being asked to capture her wedding because she absolutely loves my photos was such an honor. When Catherine and I first met, we were at Aquinas College in Grand Rapids (go Saints!) and I was playing basketball, and she was throwing for the track team. When I started dating my boyfriend, now husband, and he told me she grew up right around the corner from him and did 4H, it was honestly like a sign. We were meant to be in each other’s life, and even if it was just a casual hello when out and about, or when her older sister and I were in birthing class together and had little boys within the same month! Life is a crazy journey and the idea of seven degrees of separation couldn’t be ring more true with Catherine and I.

Her gorgeous country chic, barn wedding was planned in five months because she just wanted to be married. Her and Robb were ready to begin their lives together and didn’t want to wait another minute. That timeline didn’t stop them from having one of the most gorgeous barn weddings I have ever seen. All of the decor and details were perfectly planned and came together for her dream wedding. Of all the decor, flowers, and details, my favorite detail of the day, was when Robb surprised her with a slideshow and sang her a song. My heart melted watching him sing a love to his new bride in front of their closest friends and family and thinking about him planning this surprise for her. That is just one of the examples of Catherine and Robb’s sweet, sweet love. I am so excited for them to begin their life as a married couple and am so honored that they asked me to help them write the first page. Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Boerner!
