Having photos taken in your home is a beautiful reflection of the two of you just being you! It’s relaxed and chill and perfect if you’re a homebody! Your home is a meaningful and unique spot and great for any season. We can use different rooms in your home and capture the magic and beauty in the everyday. Also, an ideal time to include your fur babies! Taking photos at home makes for a calm environment, and you can even get cozy and snuggle in bed! I’ve put together some tips to help you plan a seamless photo session at home!

Watch the light in your home and even take a few photos so you’ll be able to remember what rooms were the brightest and when. These will be very helpful to me in deciding the best time of day for your session!

Do you two love reading together or snuggling by the fireplace? Is cooking and dancing in the kitchen one of your favorite activities together? Are lazy mornings together in bed your idea of a perfect day? Do you two enjoy an afternoon swim? Incorporating your daily routine and favorite ways to spend time together is what makes lifestyle sessions so personal!

Just because your session is at home doesn’t mean you can’t treat yourself to professional hair and makeup! It’s important to feel your best anytime you’re in front of the camera, and photos are the perfect excuse to show yourself some self-care.
